CURATED PHOTOSTREAM | DECEMBER 4, 2017 | LUCY WAINWRIGHT
This curation goes to the beating heart of my photography with an investigation into multiple exposures. I deeply love shooting doubles and multiples. Nothing is more exciting, but nothing is more heartbreaking either. It can fall flat. It can go wrong. And then sometimes you can find you've spoken with the angels.
Photography is a craft and a skill, no doubt about it, but it is also an art, and in art we also open ourselves to chance, to magic, and to the intervention of the Other. Sometimes the Other invervenes without an invitation. Perhaps picking up a camera is sometimes invitation enough!
For this stream I asked you to make a space to invite chance into your process, and the results are stunning. Thank you so much to everyone who submitted.
SUBMIT
Every week the FSC features an article with a Curated Photostream that is open to all. You may only submit one (1) photo and it *must* be a jpeg file and no larger than 20 MB. Please title the file "Title_Camera_Film_YourName.jpg" so that we may properly credit you if your photo is selected.
Please note that we will be changing how we announce and handle submissions in a few weeks. Essentially, each curator will announce the theme for their next curation rather than the next week. We will be adding a Submissions Page to the site so that readers can see all the information and links to submit in one place.
My next curation will be January 1, 2018 and for it we will be considering "Rapture." What is rapture? Show me. And submit your rapturous image here.
Next week's Photostream will be curated by Amy Jasek and the theme is "Alt Process." You may submit your image here. And don't forget to check in on our "Submit" page to see all the currently open submission links.
